Have No Fear, A CSS Cheat Sheet Is Here
Attempting to master and memorize the vast complexities of CSS is not only an unconquerable feat, it's rendered unnecessary thanks to the arrival of a CSS cheat sheet. An English front-end developer, Adam Marsden, has provided coders, designers, and developers alike with a beacon of hope.
Marsden has collated an extensive list of CSS codes which he's dubbed "a reference of CSS goodness" for people to freely utilize. The expansive catalog consists of nine different categories, each containing a number of specific CSS references.
Selectors, for instance, kicks off the list with some basic selectors including Child Selector, Class Selector, ID Selector, General Sibling Selector, Attribute Selector, and Universal Selector. The list then graduates to the Pseudo Selectors category. Within this sector lies Mouse Over Selector, Active Link Selector, Focus Selector, First Line Selector, Last Child Selector, and Not A Specified Element Selector.
The third portion, Font Styling, houses Text Transform, Space Between Characters, Horizontal Alignment, Line Height, Font Family, Text Decoration, and Font Variant cheaters, while Position, the fourth segment, is comprised of Position, Z Index, Clear Floating Elements, and Position Properties.
Aptly named for the codes it provides, the fifth category, Background, is a treasure trove of Background codes. Background Image, Background Repeat, Background Attachment, Background Color, and Background Position are the five ciphers you'll find in this segment.
Progress to the sixth category, Box Properties, and you'll find Margin, Border Color, Padding, Border Width, Border Style, and Box Sizing. With only three categories left, Marsden has already provided a generous amount of pertinent, comprehensible CSS codes; no doubt a great outlet for beginners.
List Styling marks the seventh category and it offers List Type, List Position, and List Image. The eighth section, entitled Flexbox, consists of Flex Wrap, Order, Align Content, Flex Basis, Flex Shrink, and Flex Grow. The list caps off with the lengthiest category, CSS Grid, which contains Align Items, Grid Template, Grid Row Gap, and Grid Auto Columns, to name a few.
To Marsden's surprise, people sounded off in the comments expressing their gratitude and commending Marsden for sharing such a "handy" cheat sheet.
