Lighthouse can also be expected to give lower marks for "Accessibility" if the website has not made sure to include code and functionality that would let it be more readily usable by readers with impairments such as color blindness and dyslexia.

Lighthouse can be used to generate grades not only for one's own website but also external sites. Perhaps unexpectedly, if Lighthouse is used on the website of one of the most ubiquitously recognized brands on the planet, it might reveal a site that technically fulfills all checkboxes pertaining to SEO and accessibility requirements but otherwise falters in performance. If the brand in question runs a complex multinational storefront, then the website used to sell these products to consumers worldwide is more likely to load somewhat sluggishly between pages. For any small business, the algorithms would dock its page rankings on account of this. However, the privilege often enjoyed by veritable titans of the corporate space ensures that their storefronts will stay on the top positions of SERPs regardless.
