Why Dribble and Behance Are Filled With Google Material Design

If you are working on a web design project that focus heavily on the user interface, would you go to freelance platforms such as Behance and Dribble for inspiration? Common wisdom will tell you to stay away from such websites and instead stick to the classics such as Apple's original Human Interface Guidelines written by Andy Hertzfeld; however, if you are looking for something more specific, Dribble and Behance are not good sources.

The problem with Behance is that it is filled with designers showing off their "flat design" websites, which share an overall style that is too reminiscent of the Google Material Design look. Dribble and Behance share a massive gap between the projects presented on the site and the projects that are finished. To be honest, this is true for other sites that aim to provide inspiration for web design. For Behance and Dribble to be more useful to web designers, it needs to filter projects that have been completed and released.
